About us
Ancestral is a restaurant founded in La Paz in 2019 that has the concept of highlighting the Bolivian product cooked over a wood fire, which is the central element of its cuisine.
All served in a designer restaurant where you can see the fully open kitchen from any of the dining room tables.

Our plates
A la carte and tasting menus, all the dishes go through the grill, the wood fire or the clay oven at some point.
Everything is made from scratch in an artisanal way at home, with fish, meat, local vegetables and herbs from our garden.
We attend
- Wednesday to Friday: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday Lunch: 12:00 to 15:30 hrs.
- Saturday Dinner: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday Lunch: 12:00 to 15:30 hrs.

Ancestral is currently the 63rd best restaurant in Latin America according to the prestigious list of The world's 50 best magazine.
In 2022 it was also chosen as the "American Express One To Watch Award" for all of Latam according to the same list. This award will honor a recently opened restaurant that is original, innovative and exciting, recognized for its potential to be voted on the LatAm50Best list in the coming years.
